Education Planning

What is it going to cost to send my child or grandchild to college?
At Legacy we have software that can pull most major college and University cost of tuition (in-state or out-of-state), books, room and board on campus, or living at home.
We use this information to determine how much needs to be saved each year to pay for future college expenses and recommend the appropriate type of account to meet funding objectives.  Some options include 529 plan, Education IRA, UTMA/UGMA, State plans, Roth IRA, and Non-qualified savings.
The key to selecting the right plan is to determine funding objectives, amount of time until funds are needed, goals for money if not used for education, and amount of risk that is acceptable for this investment.
If you have any questions about Education planning or wish to schedule an appointment, send us an email or give us a call at (810) 687-7339 or (toll-free 800-343-2441).
