Our approach to financial planning is relationship based. We cannot develop a realistic financial plan until we get to know you. Through a series of meetings, interviews, and discussions, we gather significant information about you; your financial situation; your attitudes, goals, objectives; and your time horizon to realistically achieve those goals.
From the data you have provided, we will evaluate your current situation and create projections of where this is taking you. Recommendations for changes may result. Then we are available to help with implementation strategies and will meet regularly, or as needed, to monitor progress. We encourage you to be informed and proactive in and throughout the process.
A typical scenario for a financial planning relationship would look like this:
First meeting Getting to know you and gathering information, such as:
- An understanding of your current goals and objectives
- Basic knowledge about you and your family
- A review of your financial statements, tax returns, investment statements, insurance policies, employee benefits, and estate planning documents
Second meeting Review our initial report, which includes:
- A snapshot of your current situation
- A projection of progress towards your goals
- Identification of problematic areas of concern
- Strategies to implement recommendations
Third meeting Address the implementation of the recommended strategies you chose to follow
Annual and/or Quarterly Meetings Monitor and evaluate the progress and make adjustments as needed
