Tax Management Strategies

Tax Management is the process of seeking ways to manage your tax liability.

Our belief is you should always be aware of tax implications in every transaction you make and not wait until tax time to find out about your tax liability.

  • Should I pay the tax now or defer to a later time?
  • Is Roth IRA Conversion right for me?
  • How can I sell my land or business and minimize the tax liability?
  • Which investment has the best tax benefits?

These are the types of questions answered in the process of tax-management planning.  As financial planners we do not give tax or legal advise.  We work with your CPA, accountant, tax preparer, or book keeper to manage your taxes with the most efficient tools available. If you do not already have a tax preparer you may want to make an appointment with Jim Simmonds in our office to discuss his services in more detail.

We can help with IRA, SEP IRA, Roth IRA, 401k, Profit Sharing plans, 1031 Exchange, tax-credit programs, etc.  If you wait until your tax deadline to plan, you may miss some valuable planning opportunities.
